Enonkoski is a little but vital commune in the countryside of eastern Finland, near the town of Savonlinna. Enonkoski is about 33 km from Savonlinna to the north and 55 km from Heinävesi to the south. The airport of Savonlinna is on the way from Savonlinna to Enonkoski. Enonkoski was established in 1882, but people has been living in the area allready since the Stone Age .Nowadays population is around 1677 inhabitants ( situatuon on the 1.1.2008) , so Enonkoski is really a small place to live, but has so beuatiful nature, plenty of lakes, peace and silence. Enonkoski is an ideal place to rest and relax. There you can find an exhibition of the nature of Kolovesi National Park, canoeing maps and other maps, fishing licences and all kinds of other information you need.
